V.I.N.E. (Vocal Improvisation Network of Edmonton) is a new and adveturous vocal group in Edmonton. In the spirit of Bobby McFerrin and other great improvisers, V.I.N.E. creates spontaneous compositions that paint ethereal soundscapes and groovacious rhythms. Demonstrating vocal mastery while emanating a wondrous sense of play, V.I.N.E. is always sprouting fresh ideas for the listener's ears.

The voices of V.I.N.E. are combinations of various local and visiting vocal improvisers.

Vocal Improvisation Network of Edmonton wishes to gather singers and create spontaneous music works that will make your soul sing. Based on Circlesong singing we will work with structures and musical concepts (rhythm, melody, harmony, etc.) to develop skills needed to circlesing. Please contact Karen for details for classes.

RISE & V.I.N.E.

Brett Miles' RISE joins V.I.N.E. to create an afternoon of improvised music from 2:30 to 5pm the 3rd friday of each month at The Carrot Community Arts Coffee House 9351 118 Ave. Come down and listen and/or play. Cost is by donation.
